What does paint correction mean?

Paint correction is the process of using machine polishers to permanently remove surface scratches, swirl marks, hazing, oxidation, marring, and other imperfections in your vehicle’s paint. It’s a powerful way to bring the paint back to its original shine! It’s a service commonly performed by auto detailers, but many body shops will also offer paint correction services as a way to avoid a costly repaint.

This process is often referred to as buffing, cutting and polishing. None of these are incorrect but the modern detailing world has moved toward the term “paint correction” as the industry standard.
